PTFA
The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association is very important to Colliers Green. Its role is to organise and fundraise for events and activities to enhance the children's experience of school, and to encourage closer links between home and school.
Fundraising events
PTFA activities include the popular Christmas and Summer Fairs, quiz nights, and discos for the children. The PTFA runs the annual pancake race and Easter Egg hunt, and works with Father Christmas to arrange a visit every year. We also organise fundraising events throughout the year, including the Friday Farm shop sales, home clothes and crazy hair days, raffles and many more.
What we raise money for
The money raised by the PTFA is essential for the school. It pays for class outings, school trips and workshops. It also helps with Forest School, sports kits and equipment, library books, playground apparatus and music provision.
In past years, the PTFA funded the following activities for the children:
- Play equipment for KS1
- Coaches for Class Trips
- Panto trip
- Christmas Presents and Easter Eggs
- Contributions to forest school and wild and green club.
- Year 6 Leavers Hoodies
- IT equipment
How to get involved
The PTFA is open to all parents, teachers, friends and families at Colliers Green. There are lots of different ways to get involved, and any time that people can give helps - even if it's just a few hours a month.
We are always keen for new parents to come forward and get involved, and particularly welcome parents whose children have recently started at the school. Joining the PTFA is a great way to make friends and help build the community that makes Colliers Green such a special place.
