The day started with an assembly about the Parable of the Sower. The children acted out the story and watched a cartoon to help them understand the message Jesus was trying to get across. Here are the links to the song and cartoon we watched.

Then the children took part in various acitivities to help them think about the story. There was singing with sign, planting sweetpeas in eco-pots, making tea-lights and a obstacle course!

This afternoon we tackled the mound of junk you had all brought in and thought about how it could be re-used.

Each child was sent home with a heart on which they can write a pledge of how they intend to reduce the amount of junk they create - these will be tied to the JUNK TOTEM POLE that will be made as part of our arts and crafts day on Thursday.
