Fantastic Friday!
Sponsored walks, special services and a spectacular art and craft sale! A wonderful end to our Values Week.
Today all of our values were very much in evidence. KS2 took part in a sponsored walk to Bethany school, whilst Bethany pupils walked to Colliers Green, we passed each other on the way! It was a beautiful morning for a walk across the fields and the sun shone as we went. We had some very welcome refreshments and then met Rev Serena at the chapel. Caroline Turvey led a fantastic service talking about three ways to love and how the founders of both Bethany and Colliers Green Schools showed our values of Aspiration, Resilience and Community. We found out loads about them; interesting for adults and pupils.
The children watched the film of Joseph and his technicolour dream coat to increase their knowledge of him, his story and to understand how resilient he was. There was a lot of singing!
In the afternoon the marquee was transformed into an arts and crafts exhibition! All of the beautiful things we made on our Arty Thursday were available for parents to see and to be purchased. The marquee looked fabulous and pupils were proud to take home their artistic creations. We raised approximately £200 to be split between Fegans, our charity of the week and our PTFA who were on hand, as always, with tea, coffee and wonderful cakes! Thank you ladies.
A fantastic end to a most wonderful week!
