Artsmark
What is the Arts Mark?
The programme recognises schools’ exceptional commitment to creativity with the Artsmark Award - the only award for arts and cultural provision in England. The Artsmark Award is accredited by Arts Council England.
How does Artsmark work?
We will be using Artsmark’s clear and flexible framework to embed creativity across our whole curriculum and address school improvement priorities. After implementing change the expert Assessors will award one of three Artsmark levels: Silver, Gold or Platinum.
Why Artsmark?
- Build young people’s confidence, character and resilience through arts and cultural education
- Use Artsmark’s clear and flexible framework to embed creativity across our whole curriculum and use it to address school improvement priorities
- Celebrate our long-term commitment to offer a broad and balanced curriculum, that enables children to make connections across their learning and develop their vocabulary.
Our Artsmark Journey
The main goals for our Artsmark journey are:
- Develop a comprehensive curriculum and arts offer to build confidence, character and resilience.
- Engage the community.
- Celebrate diversity.
- Recognise and celebrate our successes! We will celebrate arts throughout the year and invite our community to share milestones and celebrate the children’s talents!
We will be creating a gallery of our Artmarks journey. Watch this space!
